Does it count both the start and end dates?

Only in inclusive mode. Exclusive mode counts each full 24-hour day that passes after the start date, so the end day is not added on. Toggle Inclusive to count both the start and end dates as full days.

How are workdays counted?

Workdays are Monday through Friday days within the same day range you selected. They follow the same inclusive or exclusive setting as the total, so you get a consistent business-day count.

Can it count backward in time?

Yes. Put a later date in the Start field and an earlier date in the End field and the total is shown as a negative count with the same week, workday and month breakdown.

What happens when I add a month to the 31st?

The date is clamped to the last day of the target month. For example, January 31 plus one month lands on February 28, and on February 29 in a leap year, instead of rolling over into March.
